Karachi East Administrator Rehmatullah Sheikh has said that steps are being taken to improve the schools of DMC East.

He expressed these views while inspecting the development works at Elementary School Baloch Colony and Parsi Gate UC4. Director of Education Sher Ali, SE Salman Memon, Sub Engineer Saleem Farooqi and others were also present on the occasion.

While inspecting the renovation works in the school, he also reviewed the annual examinations held in the school and directed that all possible teaching facilities should be provided to the students along with improving the condition of the school.

During the visit, he said that the people want to benefit as much as possible through development works. Therefore, the scope of development works has been extended to most of the areas of Karachi DMC East.

Karachi is the financial and commercial capital of Pakistan. In line with its status as a major port and the country’s largest metropolis. The municipal corporation, in 1976, became a metropolitan corporation. Two years later the metropolitan area was divided into five districts, each with a municipal corporation namely Karachi East, Karachi West, Karachi Central, Karachi South and District Malir. These five districts form the Karachi Division now. There are also six military cantonments that are administered by the Pakistan Army.
