University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has started entry test (ECAT-22) registration for admission in BSc Engineering and BSc Engineering Technology programs across Punjab.

Entry test tokens for registration are available online and at the designated branches of Habib Bank Limited (HBL) on payment of Rs. 1500 / -. The last date for receipt of tokens is 30th June 2022.

The last date for online data entry and admission card printing is June 30. The final test will be taken on July 18-22. The experimental test will be held on July 15 and 16. The results of the entrance test will be announced on July 28.

All Pakistani students who have passed or are about to take the Intermediate / higher secondary school certificate (HSSC) exams will be allowed to sit in ECAT. However, candidates who do not appear in the UET entrance test will not be eligible for admission in the undergraduate programs of any government engineering institution. Students can get all the information related to the entry test and admission from the UET Lahore website.

To avoid any hassle due to limited seats, students should purchase tokens and complete the registration process as soon as possible so that their seats are reserved.

The University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore on Tuesday held its 26th convocation at the main auditorium of university. Governor Punjab and Chancellor of University Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar presided over the convocation. While Chairman Pakistan Higher Education Commission (PHEC) Professor Dr Fazal Ahmad Khalid and Chairman Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Engr Jawed Salim Qureshi participated as guests of honor.

University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore syndicate meeting, presided over by the worthy UET Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar approved Rs 4,482 billion budget with a deficit of Rs261,186 million for the year 2019-20.

Chairing the 3/2019, UET syndicate meeting, Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Syed Mansoor Sarwar briefed regarding budget item-wise. The UET treasure further explained that a sum of Rs4,304.002 million has been allocated for development projects. It also included Rs3,804.002 million for the establishment of sub-campuses and Rs500.000 million for the strengthening of UET Lahore campus.

To facilitate students, UET approved funds of Rs100,964 million to its students in terms of scholarships, student affairs, career counselling and other activities. On the direction of vice chancellor for increasing UET’s international ranking and socio-economic impact research, the UET Syndicate increased research funding and allocated a huge amount of budget for research of young PhD and teachers.

The approved budget 2019-20 also included increases in salaries, pensions and publications. It was further explained that the deficit will be met by generating more income from its sources. In the meeting, many other academic matters were discussed, and the recommendation of the Academic Council and Selection Board were approved.
