Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) hosted a high-level delegation from the National Incubation Center (NIC) Islamabad, in a productive meeting focused on strengthening ties in research, innovation, and commercialization.
The NIC team was led by Mr Sayyed Ahmad Masud, Project Director, and Ms Muazima Batool Agha, Community Engagement Manager. The delegation was warmly received by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Bushra Mirza, along with faculty and research teams from FJWU’s Departments of Software Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Sciences, and Electronic Engineering. Representatives from the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) and the university’s Business Incubation Center (BIC) were also in attendance.
During the meeting, student-faculty teams showcased recent advancements in cutting-edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Robotics, and Sustainable Architecture. The engaging session provided a platform for dynamic discussions around shared goals and potential synergies between FJWU and NIC Islamabad.
“This visit opens exciting possibilities for joint initiatives, workshops, and projects aimed at driving research into real-world applications,” said Dr Mirza. “We look forward to building a strong, sustainable partnership with NIC that will empower our students and faculty alike.”
The meeting concluded on a note of optimism and mutual commitment to fostering a vibrant ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship in Pakistan’s academic landscape.
FJWU expressed its appreciation for NIC Islamabad’s visit and reaffirmed its enthusiasm for future collaboration.
