Sindh Schools Get Smart Monitoring App

In a bold step toward modernization, Sindh’s Education Minister, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, unveiled plans on Friday to completely digitize the province’s education system.

A key feature of this initiative is a new school monitoring app designed to boost transparency and accountability. Teachers will now mark their attendance via mobile—but only when physically present on campus. To ensure accurate student tracking, educators must also upload class photos, with facial recognition technology automatically logging attendance.

In another digital shift, Sindh is scrapping manual certificate verification. The Inter Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) has ordered all matric and intermediate certificates to be verified online, eliminating the need for sealed physical submissions. All educational boards must now link their systems to the IBCC’s central platform for seamless processing.
