USEFP Builds Purpose-Built Headquarters in Islamabad

After nearly 75 years of fostering educational exchange, the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) is set to open its first custom-built headquarters in Islamabad — a landmark development that cements decades of collaboration between the United States and Pakistan.

The $12 million facility, located in the capital’s H-8 education district, nears completion and promises to be a central hub for students, scholars, and Fulbright alumni. Designed by the acclaimed Nayyar Ali Dada & Associates, the building features a contemporary design and world-class amenities, including a library, auditorium, and standardized testing labs.

The new headquarters signifies more than just a physical presence. During a recent visit, US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker emphasized that the structure embodies the longstanding spirit of cooperation and shared values between the two nations. Her visit coincided with the 75th anniversary of the Fulbright Program in Pakistan — one of the largest and most prestigious Fulbright exchanges globally.

Officials from the US Embassy noted that the headquarters would serve as a beacon for Pakistani students aspiring to pursue higher education in the United States. Its establishment was made possible through land allocated by the Government of Pakistan and funding from the US government, illustrating a shared commitment to education as a cornerstone of bilateral ties.
