SkillsGala and Talent Hunt 2023 concludes successfully

The two-day SkillsGala and Talent Hunt 2023 concluded. The event that was held at Lahore Expo Centre featured tech leaders and motivational speakers as keynote speakers.

Vice-Chancellor Islamia University of Bhawalpur (IUB) Dr Athar Mahboob gave the keynote speech. Chief TEchnology Officier Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Adil Iqbal Khan, as one of the key panelists, talked about ICT initiatives rolled out by PITB for the Government of Punjab. Representatives from PITB including Sarmad Hafeez, Athar Asif and Naveed Ahmed from Plan 9 and Freelancing Wing respectively also participated in different panel discussions.

A number of tech leaders and educationists including VC IUB Prof Dr Athar Mahboob, Director IT IUB Rizwan Majeed, Founder Founder iSkills Tanveer Nandla and ounder Rozee.pk Monis Rahman visited Punjab Job Portal and freelancing related stalls set up by PITB.

The overall purpose of the event was to create networking opportunities with the support of stakeholders, including PITB, in order to strengthen Pakistan’s freelancing ecosystem.

In his address, the Vice-Chancellor IUB Dr Athar Mahboob elaborated on the development and evolution of human resources, knowledge-based economy, role of the university in society, skilled manpower and industry-academia linkages.

On this occasion, more than 100 heads of IT companies, IT experts, entrepreneurs and hundreds of people associated with the IT industry were present from all over Pakistan.
