The Information Technology University (ITU) Lahore is set to have its own Computer Engineering (CE) Department, with Vice Chancellor Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar saying the addition of this department would help the university cater to the needs of industry and academia. The decision to set up the ITU Computer Engineering department will add to the existing 11 degree programmes being currently offered by the university and was made at the 9th meeting of ITU Syndicate held on Saturday.
