Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards Sindh government Ismail Rahoo visited the Research and Technology Showcase 2022 held at NED University.

He presided over the concluding session of the two-day event that was jointly organized by the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) and NED University of Engineering & Technology (NEDUET). At the end of the exhibition, he lauded the efforts of students, teachers, NED University of Engineering & Technology, and Sindh Higher Education Commission.

We have very talented youth and today’s exhibition is proof that they can potentially lead the country in the technological era. It is a beneficial process to showcase the talent of the youth through the research projects of the exhibition. These views were expressed by the provincial minister.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that technologies are making life easier. In today’s world, revolution can be brought about with the help of academia and industry.

On the occasion, Secretary Board and Universities Mureed Rahimo said that I congratulate Higher Education Commission Sindh and NED University on successfully organizing Research and Technology Showcase, a very beneficial event. Such events would be encouraged in the future so that university students could display their talent.

The Nadirshaw Edulji Dinshaw University of Engineering and Technology, commonly known as NED University (NEDUET) and Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) jointly organized a two-day seminar titled ‘Research and Technology Showcase 2022’.

Provincial Minister for Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain Shah will be the chief guest. The NEDUET Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Sarosh Hashmat Lodi said; “I believe that the technologies to be introduced will not only create innovation in lives but it will also achieve better results in less time. This seminar aims to highlight new technologies and research to the newcomers so that they could use them and enlighten the future of Pakistan”.

Chairman of Sindh Higher Education Commission Dr Tariq Rafi said that the provincial higher education commission is playing a pivotal role in the promotion of research and technology along with education. Our aim is to bring out Pakistani talent through this showcase.

Talking about the technologies to be introduced, the NED University Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) Director Dr Riaz Uddin said that in this showcase, about 32 universities across Sindh will showcase more than 340 of their projects out of which 100 are NED projects.
