Following various round of deliberations, the search committee formed for suggesting candidates to take the reins of Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has forwarded four names to the prime minister for a final decision.
With the March 25 deadline for applying for the soon-to-fall-vacant seat of chairman of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) now passed, the search committee is all set for a final few weeks of toil to shortlist names for one of the most exclusive posts in the country’s educational landscape.
As the tenure of Higher Education Commission Chairman Dr Mukhtar Ahmed nears its end, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has approved a committee to look for a suitable candidate to man the post.
