Students, Scholars, and Industry Leaders Unite at ISCE 2026 in Islamabad

The 6th International Students Convention and Expo (ISCE) 2026 wrapped up in Islamabad after a dynamic four-day showcase of academic excellence, industrial innovation, and cultural exchange, reinforcing the growing importance of collaboration between academia and industry in Pakistan.

The large-scale event brought together students, researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the country and abroad. Featuring a diverse lineup of student competitions, workshops, indoor games, and a comprehensive industrial exhibition, the convention provided a multifaceted platform for learning, networking, and innovation.

A key highlight of the event was the integration ceremony of the educational and industrial expo, held at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST) Islamabad. The ceremony drew participation from prominent figures in academia and industry, underscoring the significance of bridging the gap between education and the job market.

Coordinator General of COMSTECH, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chaudhary, attended as the chief guest, alongside notable personalities including former Higher Education Commission chairman Dr. Javaid Laghari, Vice Chancellors of leading public and private universities, and Rector FAST Islamabad Prof. Dr. Aftab Ahmed. Senior officials, academicians, entrepreneurs, and industrialists also participated in the ceremony.

The industrial and educational expo was formally inaugurated by Executive Director of the Higher Education Commission, Prof. Dr. Zia ul Haq. Speaking at the occasion, Prof. Chaudhary praised the efforts of Muhammad Murtaza Noor, Founder and CEO of the International Students Convention, for successfully organizing a platform that fosters intellectual growth and cross-sector collaboration. He emphasized that such initiatives play a vital role in promoting cultural exchange and exploring new opportunities in education and industry.

A panel discussion held during the event brought together leading academicians and industry experts, who shared insights on positioning Pakistan as an emerging global destination for higher education. Participants highlighted the need for innovation-driven policies, international partnerships, and industry-aligned curricula to enhance the country’s academic landscape.

The expo also featured food stalls, student-led startups, and innovative projects, reflecting the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of the youth. These exhibits offered attendees a glimpse into the evolving landscape of student innovation and enterprise in Pakistan.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Muhammad Murtaza Noor underscored the importance of sustained collaboration between academia and industry, noting that such partnerships are essential for driving innovation, economic growth, and national development.
