The 6th International Students Convention and Expo (ISCE) 2026 concluded in Islamabad after a vibrant four-day run, bringing together thousands of students, academics, and industry professionals from across Pakistan and around the world.
The large-scale convention featured participation from more than 40 universities alongside representatives from various industries and academic institutions. A notable presence of international students added diversity and a global outlook to the event, reinforcing its growing stature as a significant academic platform.
Hosted across multiple venues in Islamabad and Haripur, the convention began with its opening ceremony at Riphah International University. The educational and industrial expo was held at FAST National University, while competitions and workshops took place at Quaid-i-Azam University and Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute.
Throughout the four days, participants engaged in a wide array of academic competitions, workshops, indoor games, innovation showcases, and a large industrial exhibition. Student-led projects, technology demonstrations, and food stalls attracted strong interest, creating an energetic environment focused on learning, creativity, and collaboration.
Organisers emphasized that the convention served as a valuable platform for students to demonstrate their academic strengths, entrepreneurial ideas, and creative talents, while also enabling direct interaction with experts from academia and industry.
In the competitive segment, Government College University Faisalabad secured the overall team trophy, while University of Sargodha claimed second position.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Muhammad Murtaza Noor highlighted the evolution of ISCE into a key forum for youth engagement, academic exchange, and cultural interaction. He noted that such initiatives help students explore opportunities in higher education, innovation, and industry while fostering institutional collaboration.
Former chairman of the Higher Education Commission, Dr Javaid Laghari, underscored the importance of strengthening ties between academia and industry to achieve sustainable development and technological advancement. He remarked that conventions like ISCE play a critical role in bridging the gap between education, research, and the job market.
The event also featured panel discussions, interactive sessions, and a diplomatic forum where academicians, industry leaders, and foreign diplomats exchanged perspectives on positioning Pakistan as a regional hub for higher education and innovation.
