In a significant development for students across Punjab, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has officially declared that the matriculation examinations for the year 2024 will kick off on March 1, 2024. This announcement follows a comprehensive meeting of the Punjab Boards Committee of Chairmen held at BISE Rawalpindi, where the provisional schedule for the 9th and 10th annual exams for 2024 was finalized.
Working collaboratively to ensure consistency and uniformity among all educational boards in Punjab, the committee has successfully adopted a common date sheet and timetable for the upcoming matric exams. The move aims to streamline the examination process and facilitate students with a standardized schedule.
According to the provisional schedule, the 10th-grade exams are scheduled to commence on March 1, beginning with History of Pakistan, followed by Punjabi on March 2, English Compulsory on March 4, and Arabic on March 5. The examination period will continue with various subjects, ultimately concluding with Urdu compulsory on March 18.
For 9th-grade students, the exams will begin on March 19, featuring subjects such as Economics and History of Pakistan. The subsequent days will include English on March 20, Arabic on March 21, and Pakistan Studies on April 4.
Both morning and afternoon sessions have been incorporated into the schedule, with the morning session exams starting at 8:30 AM and the afternoon session at 1:30 PM, except on Fridays when afternoon exams will commence at 2:30 PM.
It is crucial to note that while this date sheet represents a collective decision of the Punjab Board Committee of Chairmen, the final and official date sheet will be released formally by the respective educational boards. Students are advised to stay updated with their respective boards for any potential changes or updates regarding the examination schedule.
