Pakistan to Launch Emerging Technology Centers in Schools

In a groundbreaking initiative, Pakistan’s Ministry of Federal Education (MoFEPT) has announced the launch of “Emerging Technology Centers,” aimed at equipping schoolchildren with advanced skills in emerging technologies. This ambitious project will be rolled out in 350 schools across Islamabad, Azad Jammu Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

This initiative is part of the government’s strategic vision to transform Pakistan into a global IT hub. By integrating cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), virtual reality (VR), and data analytics into the school curriculum, the tech centers aim to provide young students with essential digital tools and skills for their future careers.

“The establishment of these tech centers is a major step towards preparing our students for the challenges and opportunities of the digital age,” said an official from the Ministry of Federal Education. “We aim to develop skills and capacity in the IT sector, which will not only prepare students for a digital future but also enhance Pakistan’s capabilities and exports in the IT sector.”

The centers will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, providing students with hands-on experience in AI, VR, and data analytics.
