The 4th Convocation of GCWUF

The 4th Convocation of Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) took place at the prestigious Jinnah Auditorium of the university. The event was graced by the presence of Honourable Governor Punjab and Chancellor of GCWUF, Engineer Muhammad Balighur Rehman. A total of 3560 students from various programs, including BS, MA, MS, MPhil, and PhD, were awarded degrees. Among them, 43 students received gold medals, 51 students received silver medals, and 38 students received bronze medals, making them the position holders among the graduating class.

Governor Punjab and Chancellor of Government College Women University, Engineer Muhammad Balighur Rehman, extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students. Chancellor GCWUF Engr. Emphasizing the importance of education and leadership skills, he advised the graduates to be steadfast and righteous to become contented in life. He declared that success in life is dependent upon two components: education and leadership qualities. His definition of a true leader sketched a picture of a person who is caring and helpful to others.

He encouraged the students to not only excel in science and arts but also develop essential skills, positive attitudes, and strong moral values. Emphasizing the significance of setting goals and working tirelessly towards achieving them, he assured the students that no force in the world can hinder their path to success. He urged them to incorporate humanitarian service and the welfare of others into their goals, while emphasizing the importance of gratitude towards their creator, parents, and teachers. The Chancellor congratulated the graduates on their achievements and advised them to maintain integrity and gratitude. Commending the university for providing quality education in a safe environment.

In a warm gesture, Vice-Chancellor of GCWUF, Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli, extended a hearty welcome to the Chancellor, showcasing the university’s commitment to transparency and progress. Dr. Nazli presented a comprehensive report detailing the university’s pivotal research and developmental endeavors, alongside academic and administrative accomplishments. Moreover, she sincerely congratulated the Controller of Examinations Rizwana Tanvir on successfully organizing the convocation. She congratulated the graduates, expressing her heartfelt wishes for their future endeavors in both personal and professional realms.

The convocation witnessed the active participation of all guest Vice-Chancellors, Deans, and Directors from various public and private sector universities, representatives from the corporate and banking sectors, philanthropists, Media, and parents of the position holder students.

In the ceremony, Vice Chancellor GCUF Prof. Dr. Nasir Ameen, VC Baba Gurunanik University Prof. Dr. Muhammad Afzal, VC Women University Sialkot Prof. Dr. Zareen Fatima, VC University of Mianwali Prof. Dr. Islam-ullah Khan, former Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Noureen Aziz Qureshi, distinguished industrialist Mian M. Idrees from Sitara Group of Industries, esteemed members of statutory bodies, ex-registrar GCWUF Kishwer Naheed, alumni of the university especially participated as special guests. The university administration ensured the smooth execution of the event by providing security measures, media coverage, and other related activities. The Local Government Departments, including the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, were acknowledged and appreciated for their invaluable support in fulfilling additional requirements and arrangements.

This gathering served as a remarkable celebration of the achievements of Government College Women University’s students. Earlier this morning, Honourable Chancellor, Governor Punjab Engr Baleeg-ur-Rehman planted a tree on the university premises.
