Lahore: Kinnaird College for Women held its 85th convocation on 3rd March 2022. The chief guest of the event was the honorable The Rt. Rev. Bishop Alexander John Malik, Bishop Emeritus of Lahore Chairman Board of Governors Kinnaird College for Women Lahore.

Seven hundred and fourteen BA/BS Honors students, MA ELT and MPhil students were awarded degrees at this convocation. Seven students received gold medals for their academic achievement by securing the highest grades in each of the faculties of Language, Literature, Education, Social Science and Law, Applied Science and Business Studies, Arts, Design and Media Communication, Physical and Earth Science and Biological and Life Sciences.

Forty-three students were on the Principal’s honorable merit list.

The chief guest in his address encouraged the students to keep up the good work and serve for the betterment of the country. The Principal Prof Dr. Rukhsana David acknowledged the outgoing graduates for their outstanding results.

For the last 109 years, Kinnaird College has been educating and empowering women and ensuring they contribute positively to the society. Kinnaird takes pride in being one of the first colleges for women in this part of the subcontinent. Its aim continues to be to provide access to the best possible teaching and learning environment. The college believes education encompasses more than just academic study and that is why students are encouraged to take up theatre, music, debates and sports along with community service which have all been universally acclaimed as essential to imparting life skills and shaping a personality
