The highly anticipated Punjab University book fair 2019 has been postponed due to security issues, sources told Academia Magazine on Tuesday.
According to reliable sources at PU, the security agencies did not give clearance to PU book fair 2019 upon which the administration has decided to postpone much anticipated book fair. The annual book fair of PU was earlier postponed two times.
Earlier, the Punjab University administration had formed various committees to successfully organize Pakistan’s largest three-day book fair. The PU Book Fair 2019 was to be held from April 25 to 27. The book fair was to be organized in the corridors of Institute of Education and Research, New Campus in which all leading publishers from Pakistan were to participate.
According to the earlier PU notification, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof Dr Taqi Zahid But had been appointed as convener of Book Fair Coordination Committee to review overall arrangements of the book fair.
