The Sindh Education Department on Monday started the recruitment process to hire 46549 teachers.
Earlier on Sunday, addressing a press conference, the Education Minister Sardar Shah said that for the first time in the history of the country such a large number of teachers were being recruited simultaneously, and the whole process was automated. Full transparency will be ensured in the recruitment process of teachers, he said.
He said the teacher recruitment process is fully computerized with no room for recommendation or bribery. The candidates should remove all ambiguities, teachers’ tests will be on merit, there is a completely transparent process, don’t even think of giving a single rupee to anyone, believe in your hard work.
He said that if any employee of the education department was found involved in bribery in exchange for teachers’ jobs, they would not only terminate him but he will also be sent to jail.
On the occasion, IBA Vice Chancellor Syed Mir Mohammad Shah said that an agreement was reached between the School and Literacy Education Department and Sukkur IBA for third party recruitment through Sukkur IBA. The tests are being conducted on 14039 posts of JEST and 32510 posts of PST and a total of 46549 posts. A total of 386270 candidates will appear for the test in Sukkur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad and Karachi.
The Candidates will not be able to enter the test center without their original identity card. They are requested not to bring their mobile phones. There will be a 100-minute test, the answer sheet will be uploaded by evening and the result will come in 48 hours.
The answer sheet will have the name and picture of the candidate. They will be given a carbon copy of the Answer Sheet while the original copy will be with the institution.
In response to a question, he said that any applicant who takes the test will get a specific code, and he will be able to see for himself later in the test how many questions he answered correctly. He said that candidates appearing for the test in place of someone else should remember that the punishment for improvisation is three years imprisonment.
He further said that all the processes have been completed through paperless, automated system and centers have been set up at 6 places. The original answer sheet will be submitted to the center, while the carbon copy will be taken with the candidate. All reply copies will be scanned and uploaded in three days.
