VC SMIU meets Secretary Education

Prof Dr Mujeebuddin Sahrai Memon, VC of Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) held a meeting with Akbar Laghari, Secretary of School Education and Literacy Department (SELD), Government of Sindh at his office. In the meeting, they discussed matters, especially related to SMIU Model School. Dr Mujeebuddin Sahrai apprised him of the financial crisis which is the SMIU Model School as it is being run from the budget of Sindh Madressatul Islam University.

The vice chancellor said SMIU Model School imparts quality education to boys and girls from primary to matric and up to intermediate to girls. Therefore, the provincial government of Sindh should allocate a separate budget for SMIU Model School as the Sindh Madressatul Islam school was receiving before the establishment of Sindh Madressatul Islam University in 2012.

Secretary of Education Mr Akbar Laghari said that his department shall try to resolve the problems of the SMIU Model School, which has played a historic role in the advancement of modern education in Sindh and other parts of the country

SMIU Model School is striving hard from the very beginning to create a harmonious balance between the academic demands of the contemporary world and the socio-cultural needs of the state. It provides a challenging and competitive environment for the students in order to develop a healthy learning environment, curiosity and motivation in them for learning and growth.
